GIRLS JUNIOR FOOTBALL

At FC Twenty 11 we are thrilled to have substantially grown our junior girls player numbers in 2025 and we are excited about continuing this in 2026. We offer an environment where each girl is encouraged to develop her skills while building lasting friendships through football. Our programmes at this age focus on fun, playing different positions, and learning how to play as a team.

The information on this page is for those female players looking to play girls-only football and born between 2013 and 2018. For other options please click the links below:

To discuss the available options or any of the information below please email girls@fctwenty11.co.nz with your name and phone number and we will call you back.

Additional Costs:

Uniform: FC apparel is compulsory for ALL players and can be purchased via our online shop

Football boots: Boots (no metal studs) and shin pads are mandatory for ALL players. These can be purchased through local sports stores.

Tournaments: If attending a tournament during/at the end of the season, there will be additional costs associated with these.  We encourage all our Club teams to compete in the South Island Regional Festivals and Tournaments and for Girls there is also the Alan Fraser Memorial Tournament in the July school holidays.

Parent Involvement

Once players are allocated to a team, typically a volunteer coach, game day manager and referee(s) will be required from amongst the players’ parents/caregivers. The club will provide training and support for all team officials, including the offering of NZF Community Referee Courses.

FC Twenty 11 has been going through a sustained period of growth over the last few years, which means we need new volunteer coaches, managers, and referees to step up each year.

Some of our current and previous coaches/managers are parents who had never played football before! If you are a parent or past player who has flirted with the idea of coaching or managing a team – please give it a try! It is a truly rewarding experience.

If you have any questions about coaching, management, or refereeing, please contact our Director of Junior Football, Will Morgan, on +64 22 035 6165 or email will.tm@fctwenty11.co.nz
